Understanding Acne

The actual name for such a skin condition is actually known as acne vulgaris. It is accompanied with protruding bumps on our face, body or our chest and lesions which usually tempt people to squeeze them. Sebum, the oil produced by our body, is used to lubricate out pores, and unlike conventional belief that sebum clots up your pores resulting in acne outbreaks, this is by far not as true as it seems.


 

Pimples are infections that occur on our skin at bacteria level and the most common area for acne to appear at is the “T zone”. This is because there is a great number of a sweat gland concentrated in this area of our face. Following, they also frequently appear at the back of our neck and chest.
