Caring and Treatment for Acne Cysts

In the course of acne, one of the more severe forms of acne is the occurrence of acne cysts. Acne cysts are bumps which appear beneath the epidermis and are usually filled with lesion and pus. Because improper handling of acne cysts will lead to the appearance of scars, which are usually hard to remove, removing cysts without leaving scars is a tricky problem.

One possible treatment method is via oral antibiotics prescribed by dermatologists. These antibiotics are able to kill of the bacteria and starve off the acne by removing blood supply to the affected area. Often, remarkable reduction in the swelling can be witnessed in less than 2 weeks, however the entire course of medication usually lasts several months and can be costly.

Alternatively, you may try using tea tree oil. Tea tree oil has been known as an effective antiseptic and antifungal agent. Applying tea tree oil on the affected area can kill surface bacteria and can reduce inflammation, however the downside to it is that it generally takes a longer time for the swelling to subside, however as compared to other chemicals such as benzoyl peroxide, it is much safer, hence if you would like to administer some acne cysts care in your own home, tea tree oil can be a good choice.

Usually when acne cysts subside, there will be indentions formed on the skin. Even when make-up is applied to conceal the affected area, the light that bounces off the affected area will show it. Removing scars due to acne can be an expensive treatment. Often, people undergo laser and other facial treatments to remove them and improve the complexion, however they are often expensive, and not many of us can afford them. Alternatively, you may choose a company known as Skin Culture. They produce facial peel products that have over 50 years of history. As far as it is now, they are affordable too. Following the removal of scars, it is imperative to take steps to restore balance to your body so that acne will not reoccur, as will be explained in the following articles.
