  • Cosmetics

Putting on make-up may be necessary to mask the unsightly red spots on our skin. Using cosmetics give us a temporary boost to our confidence. However like sun-bathing to make acne look less obvious, putting on make-ups and cosmetics do not solve the true cause why the acne skin condition even exists. When I attended secondary school, I used to put a dap of liquid talcum power on my acne spots so they will look less obvious. If you must, choose non-oil based ones and at best, choose non-comedogenic (does not clot up pores and aggravate acne) make-ups. • Touching of Face

Refrain from the habit of periodically feeling for new acne with your hands on your face. This is because our hands are teeming with the greatest amount of bacteria at any one time and definitely do not want to risk transferring them from our hands to our face by frequently touching them. Also avoid allowing your hair to cover your forehead or neck by allowing them loose while you are perspiring. Not only does it interfere with your activities, it makes you perspire more by trapping more heat with your hair and will make you want to touch your neck and forehead more. Unconsciously, you will be touching your skin, transferring more bacteria and causing more acne.
